Buyers are finding looking east into Big Bear City can pay dividends…

As the current average price of a home in Big Bear Lake was $392k for August 2009 as reported by the Big Bear Real Estate Board from figures in the Big Bear MLS,  buyers are finding out by moving  east can mean buying a larger house or even a house with a larger lot can be much more inexpensive than a home in Big Bear Lake.  And yet buying a home in Big Bear City or Sugarloaf, or Whispering Forest is just a few minutes away from Big Bear Lake.

The Big Bear Real Estate Board reported figures from the Big Bear MlS in August 2009 showing the average price of a home in Big Bear City was $237,946 dollars. What is even more important, Fidelity National Title reported for this same time the price trend for home values in Big Bear City was up 5.1%  for the same period last year. The sales trend for this same time showed 29 homes being sold during this time. In August 2008 the number of sales was 28. The average square foot price for Big Bear City was $156 a square foot.

For buyers who are interested in buying in Big Bear lake and do not want to pay Big Bear Lake prices, Big Bear City in the County of San Bernardino  affords them the opportunity to purchase their dream cabin at a more affordable price. Next time you are in the Big Bear area head east on Big Bear Blvd into Big Bear City to find these terrific deals. Buyers should know that Big Bear City borders Big Bear Lake so you can even purchase a home just a block or few blocks away from Big Bear Lake. In some cases you can be within walking distance of Big Bear Lake at a much lower cost!!!

And one more important point…owners in Big Bear City are known to say how nice it is to own a cabin in Big Bear and not pay Big Bear Lake prices or even have to deal with the noise and traffic that does surround Big Bear Lake on the busy weekends…
